Houston Terminal: Director of Driver Recruiting

Position Summary:

The Director of Driver Recruiting position is responsible to LincLogistics day to day operations for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and retaining qualified drivers and driver applicants.  Requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, mentoring abilities, multi-tasking and superior communications ability.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by Leadership.

  • Establish immediate rapport with potential new drivers (both independent contractors and company drivers) by seeking to understand their career goals and interests.
  • Practice integrity with each conversation in order to hire and onboard long-lasting driving associates.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to attract new driver hires via our website and social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media and other platforms to be current/relevant within the driver community, generating leads, identifying trends, and monitoring posts to develop action plans.
  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, pay, and specialty/dedicated opportunities.
  • Interview, gather, and analyze information skillfully to obtain a complete application and pre-qualify applicants.
  • Cross-trained in dispatch and customer service to help cover workload distribution in the event another teammate is out and be informed on dispatch processes for recruiting.
  • Monitor drivers logs to ensure compliant practice in offering dispatches to the appropriate drivers.
  • Ensures that we operate in full accordance with the FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations and stays current with changes; provides updates on such

Skill Sets and Requirements:

  • Organizational skills.
  • Must be marketing savvy and utilize social media applications effectively.
  • Must possess an amiable personality with the communication & writing skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be computer literate with MS Word, Excel and Outlook and to learn/work in multiple operating systems.
  • Logistics experience preferred.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Hours of Service (ELD) experience required
  • Must have 1-3 years of Recruiting experience
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on the move constantly visiting with drivers.
